Lanarkshire’s Local Storage – Built by Locals, for Locals
The Wee Storage Company is proud to be Lanarkshire’s own local storage provider, started with a simple idea and a bit of bold thinking.
It all began on 10th January, when we opened our very first site in Hamilton – on land once home to old gas tanks. Overgrown and run-down, most people saw a lost cause. But Scott, our founder, saw the perfect place to build his long-time dream: a secure, friendly, and no-fuss storage yard for the community.
And it worked. Within the first 8 weeks, the site was nearly full. Happy customers spread the word and began recommending us far and wide.
Since then, we’ve invested not just in storage, but in the local feel of the place – from upgrading the look of the yard to running giveaways and supporting other Lanarkshire businesses.
Recently, we opened our second site in Motherwell’s Flemington Industrial Park, right next to McDonald’s, Starbucks, ASDA, and Alexander MOT Centre. This one’s a bigger challenge – we’re turning an old factory into a high-end indoor storage facility.
We’ve completed Stage 1 and 2 of the refurbishment, now sitting at around 80% occupancy. The units are clean, dry, and genuinely stunning – ready to welcome new customers looking for a bit of extra space.
And we’re not stopping. With Stages 3 and 4 still to come, we’re also on the lookout for more sites across Lanarkshire. Who knows where The Wee Storage Company will pop up next?
